Ireland and the rain.

I love Ireland and I love weather. But, when the rain is this heavy and this constant it does become quite annoying.

One of the questions that I ask myself every morning is: 'What the hell am I going to wear today?' It can be quite difficult staying stylish while also dressing appropriately for the weather. I often end up resorting to my red rain coat which I have had for years and it is not my favourite by any means. Actually, some days I hate it. This blog post is dedicated to what I wore today. I love fashion. It has become such a huge part of my life since this summer. With the help of the people around me, namely Rebekah, my boyfriends sister and my mum my interest in fashion has increased. At the moment, my biggest fashion struggle is finding the ideal pair of boots. But, we'll come to that later.

Today I had to wear something that looked good, wasn't overly warm and I had to ensure that my feet wouldn't get wet. So I decided to wear: skinny jeans, a knitted jumper, a scarf and my boots.

Jeans & knitted jumper
(This isn't the best picture but unfortunately it's all I have.)
These are my 'Hollister Jeggings in medium wash'. They are the best jeans I have ever had. They are a perfect fit. So perfect that I don't even need to try them on if I want to buy a new pair. I know my size and it will fit without a doubt! How great is that!? They are also super comfy. Medium wash is my favourite colour. It goes with most items and can still be worn in the summer without seeming too dark. The next pair that I wish to purchase is the 'Super Skinny' version. I have a 'Skinny' pair and for me personally they aren't skinny enough.

My jumper was purchased in Monsoon. It is a mink colour and is super comfortable. What I love about loose knitted jumpers is that when you're having an off day you can still looking really good but be really comfortable at the same time. What you can see peeking out underneath is just a white tank top. I have millions of these!! You can never have enough white tank tops. If I could I would have a new one everyday. I love white. It's stylish, classy, simple and elegant.

Today, I didn't wear the shoes that are in the picture. I wore these:
Caterpillar boots
I do find these boots a bit clunky. I think that this may be just because I'm getting used to wearing them. I think I bought them when I was 13. I have just started incorporating them in to my outfits now. I can't fault them when it comes to rain. My feet are always bone dry by the time I get to my lecture. Even when I have a half hour walk to North Campus. (Not fun.) I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair of boots for WEEKS! All suggestions welcome :)

Also with this outfit I think it is essential to add some colour. Whether you choose a necklace, scarf, earring... doesn't matter. The mink needs to be broken up. I chose this scarf. I purchased this at Accessorize. I love the scarves in Accessorize. They are always quite long and full.
Love the colours for AW!

For a jacket I just have a simple Navy jacket that my aunt bought me when I was 12. (Yes! It does still fit! Crazy, I know!) We bought it in Penneys. And of course, you cannot forget an umbrella on a very rainy day in Ireland. This outfit worked well for me today even in the rain. I felt good and I managed to stay stylish and dry. Now....What am I going to wear tomorrow???
