Tip: Something I learned to do while baking during the summer was to read the method first to figure out small things like whether the butter needed to be very soft or whether it could stay hard. For this particular recipe it doesn't need to soften as you are melting it in a bowl.
Ingredients:
- 1 tin of condensed milk
- 110g butter
- 225g chocolate (dark/milk/white)
- 450g mixed biscuits
Method:
- Heat the condensed milk, butter and chocolate together in a bowl. (in the microwave or over boiling water) Stir every 30 seconds as it does have a tendency to burn.
- Gather the biscuits that you want to use for your biscuit cake and have them broken up and ready to use in another bowl. 450g of biscuits is just a rough guideline. You can use as many or as little as you like.
- Once the condensed milk, butter and chocolate has melted, take it off the heat and add in the mashed up biscuits. Stir until all of the biscuit fragments have been covered with chocolate.
- Line a tin with cling film. Use a minimum of 3 layers. Just to be safe I like to use 4 or 5 layers. The worst thing that can happen when your baking is that the cake gets stuck.
- Once you have lined your tin, pour the mixture in and spread it evenly.
- Place in the fridge and leave it there for 5-6 hours or until it is set.
- Cut and serve.
Also: you can add
- Marshmallows
- Cherries
- Raisins
- Crunchies, twix, mars bar, kit kat etc.
An 8 inch tin is recommended for this recipe but you don't have to use one that size. Just make sure you adjust the recipe to the size of your tin.

It will definitely be loved by everyone who is lucky enough to get a slice!
